had class BBQ last night and it was rather exhausting.
met Nathanael, Pui Ling, Jun Liang & Bryan at Tampines to get the BBQ stuffs (because the original plan was to go Jun Liang's place to marinate. that's why Tampines.)
had Mac (-.- u'd think we would eat more interesting food when we're out of school... haha. that was so totally different attitude when i was at PCShow. i would SALIVATE at the thought of Mac & KFC)

digression!
Ms. Tan Yen Yen called me when i was in the midst of laughing at Jun Liang's hilarious gimmicks at Mac, (he could so totally be Marc on Ugly Betty. only difference being Marc is actually quite cute, though gay.) and she asked if i'm willing to be a SMART Leader! and i said yes (without thinking much of the consequences but i can't exactly say no, because i indicated a yes on the application form, so yeah.). so she told me that Bryan, Clariss & Dickson are in my team. (i believe the exact words were "under me" but after the grotesque comment from Dickson, i prefer to use "in my team".)
yay! so i'm a SMART leader! ((:

met up with Badriyah and we took bus 3 to Downtown East.
met up with Ken & Shi Ping at the pit around 6plus and we started BBQ-ing!
pathetic yeah, there were only the 8 of us,but nevertheless we had fun BBQ-ing! ((:
Dickson, Melissa and Kellin joined us later on around 8plus.
and the party's over at 1030 with Bryan forfeiting the most Vodkha after a round of Indian poker.
bastards and idiots left the place without cleaning up, leaving only Me, Melissa (my darling) and Jun Liang behind.
even the people from pit 5 were angry for us!

just finished the last episode of Ugly Betty Season 2 not long ago ((:
before the Ugly Betty fever wears off me (like Heroes), i shall just blog about it!

the lead of the entire show, Betty Suarez!

who is actually anything but UGLY - America Ferrera (i think her name's cute. America?)

The love of Betty Suarez's life - Henry Grubstick

Henry was the accountant of Meade Publications (Betty worked for Mode, which is ONE of the many magazines that Meade Publications own) and they met and they totally fell for each other. "It's just something i know", the phrase that made them so head over heels each other.
but back then, Betty had a boyfriend, Walter, who (cheated on her with her neighbour Gina Gambaro for 2 days) is so in love in her and was going to propose, and Betty was very torn because she knows Walter loves her so much, yet she knows deep down, she doesn't love him.
When she finally got the courage to face Walter and break up with him and start dating Henry, Henry's ex-girlfriend, Charlie, from Tucson came over to New York to patch up with him.

While things starts getting more out of control, with Henry & Betty, knowing each others' feelings for themselves, and falling deeper and deeper in love with each other, Henry decides to break up with Charlie. But was shocked to find Charlie pregnant with his baby. He decides to move to Tucson with Charlie and breaks Betty's heart - for the first time. (And Betty discovers that Charlie cheated on Henry, and the baby might not be his.)

Henry returns to work for Meade Publications due to various reasons and tries to win Betty's heart back. Gio and Betty met when he took over Joseph selling sandwiches at Mode. Betty got him fired by accident (she didn't really mean for Daniel to fire him when she complaint to Daniel about Gio, not giving her extra sundried tomatoes in her sandwich, reason being it would cover the taste of the whatever meat that's inside. i can't remember larh.)
He was mad at Betty initially and called her a "Mode Girl", which made Betty totally flip because she doesn't want to turn into some frivolous materialistic mean stupid bitch, so she made Daniel give him back his job. But he didn't stay mad at Betty for long as he pushed forward his plans of opening his own Sandwich Bar Deli after being sacked.

Since then they were friends and while Betty was enjoying the little time she had left with Henry (as he's returning to Tucson when Charlie's baby's born), Gio is actually secretly in love with Betty more and more each day, and is always there for Betty when she needed a listening ear or when she's down. When Charlie popped in to New York later in the season, and ends up having the baby, Henry and Betty broke up. While recovering from her broken heart, one day, Gio kisses Betty and totally swept Betty off her feet. Betty was rather unreceptive at first, but later finds herself liking and attracted to Gio.

Last episode of Season 2, Gio asked Betty to go to Italy, Rome with him for a month and Betty agreed! Only to find Henry at her doorstep that night, proposing to her. (DRAMA MAMA!)
So who would Betty choose?
Henry or Gio?
I can't wait to find out in Season 3! OMG.

I'M HOME AND I JUST HAD MY SHOWER AND THAT FEELS GREAT!
why?
because my dear little one spat his porridge all over me just now.
and i reeked of smelly porridge and saliva.
yuck. so Gao Weh.
the little one is just so annoying, irritating, but yet so super duper adorable.
one smile from him will make me forget all my troubles and woes (tests) and every little annoying thing that he did.
*sigh* missing my little one already.

i'm so tired (he is weighing 7over kilograms now and doesn't like sitting down. he likes to stand but he can't support his own weight so we have to constantly keep our hands under his armpits to support him. and occasionally when he feels like jumping we have to carry him. haiya, anything to make him happy) i can just hit the bed and knock out. have been babysitting him all day whilst trying to cram as much QA in as possible.
something is very wrong with me.
i don't know how to pinpoint it.
i hate studying during holidays because i can never get anything in.
i'd feel so slack and have this delusion of having all the time in the world, i would procrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate.
i seriously LACK SELF-DISCIPLINE like a drought lacks water.
it's like, i totally have no mood and no interest to study for the test, yet at the back of my head, some voice would nag at me saying that i will TOTALLY start feeling regretful and remorseful when the results come back.
yet the voice gets softer and softer by the minute.
and there's this part of me that wants the good results, yet my body just doesn't budge, and my brain just doesn't listen.
and i can't bring myself to study/read the notes.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?

i really hate this side of me.

sidenote.
something amusing happened today.
after FMA (quite a disaster. it was like, easy and do-able but i just can't quite figure out what and where went wrong) i headed to the bus stop opposite SB (not dover because i left through the side gate) and waited hell long (25mins) for 105.
after Buona Vista station, instead of heading straight to Commonwealth, it turned left into Holland Avenue.

me: "EH? since when did 105 come to holland V?"
den i looked around me, the rest of the commuters were quite as puzzled as me too. someone wodered out loud, "Is this the new route?"
and to our surprise, the bus driver parked somewhere and opened the exit door.
he turned around and told us, "Habis! Finish!"
and we were all rooted to our seats, all with the same quizzical look and going "huh?"
the driver repeated, this time louder: "Habis! Finish already! Alight here!"

Lady: "But this is 105 right? 105 terminates at Serangoon what?"

Driver: "This bus is 185."

Grumpy Middle-aged Man, with severly balding head speaking in mandarin: "Wah lao eh. What is wrong with you? This is 105! You drive what bus you also dunno! You drive wrong route is it? you mei you gao cuo!!"

Driver, very puzzled: "This bus 185!"

Me: "No! This bus is 105!"

Driver: "This bus is ONE-EIGHT-FIVE"

Me: "But the signboard says 105!" (i'm so sure the bus is 105 i'm near exasperation because the first time i took 105 home a long time ago, i hailed 185 by mistake so since then i always make sure it's 105 and not 185 before waving down the bus. another reason also being FIVE different people of different gender, race and age, boarding at different bus stops, including myself can't possibly have boarded the wrong bus all on the same day right?)

The bus driver alighted from the front door and we followed. He then pointed to the board right next to the front door and said, "there! My bus is 185!"
We were so appalled when we saw the LED with orange 185 lighted.
Then indignantly, the lady and I pointed to the front board and said, "there! it looks like 105 lor! where's the line in the middle of the '8'? "
The driver abashedly said he didn't know that the line in between wasn't lighted and told us to walk back to the Buona Vista station bus stop to take 105.

OMG. it's like the most amusing bus ride ever.

BFF was at my place yesterday ((:
met up with her at PS's Flash N Splash, finally bought my bag! OMG it was practically like the last piece they have in Singapore, and there were some minor defects, but they blatantly refused to give me just a meagre additional 10% discount no matter how long i bargained.
Ben Sherman gave me an additional 10% discount when i found a minor defect in this shirt i was buying!
Forever21 would try to do something about the defect if it was the last piece!
speaks a lot for their service huh?

Shopped around at Cotton On before heading to KFC for lunch, and then m)phosis.
Bought Starbucks before we took the NEL to my place. (my second Starbucks of the week and 3rd in the month!)
On our way, we were desperately trying to sort out our accounts, and it was really a torture going down memory lane because we had to literally rack our brains to remember who paid for what, where and when and how much was it etc.

I was supposed to be studying FMA, and she was supposed to be reading her book "Complications" or something, but we ended up doing what we didn't planned to do. haha.
it's been a long time since we've chilled out like that ((:
all that shopping is burning a BEEEEEG FAAAAAT SMOULDERING HOLE right through our wallets.
Wednesday alone we spent hundreds of dollars shopping. she bought Mango tops (i invited her to the Mango Sale Preview for Members) and her tennis racket, Dior skincare (my bad. if it weren't for me, she wouldn't be introduced it in the first place, hahaha..)
I bought new foundation and pressed powder from Dior (and became permanent member ha!)

i was SO torned between Dior and Chanel and was devastated i had to give Chanel up because j'adore Chanel! but the service of the sales assistant was CLEARLY better at Dior rather than Chanel, and product wise, i think Dior's were better.
(maybe because i wasn't even introduced to a suitable product! but i clearly gave Chanel a super good and long chance! BFF and i were there for like, 20over minutes trying out lip sticks and lip gloss while waiting for people to serve us. I even specifically told their sales assistant "I'm looking for liquid foundation, do you have any reccomendations?" and one of the sales assistant just squeezed one blob of some foundation on my hand after asking me what type of skin do i have, and then proceeded to serve some other old woman. they were clearly ostracizing me because they thought i dont have the intention to buy. but i still refused to leave because J'adore Chanel! so i lingered around with BFF trying lipsticks while complaining about the sales assistants under our breaths, but they still continued to ignore us!)
so in the end I bought from Dior.. you know sometimes I think sales people have this tendency to ostracize people from their age, appearance, and dressing.
Especially these beauty counter people. YUCK.
I must keep in mind not to do that when I'm working! (but hey! i don't do that what, right?)

and a shorts from ripcurl (half price!)
plus Get Smart. (it was really darn hilarious but has totally NO PLOT at all. i almost died laughing and tears were so on the verge of escaping my eyes from all the laughter.)

speaking of DJs, i totally forgot about Rudy and Louis already. (whom i got to know at the Suntec IT Finale Show by MC.2, where I first got to know Mandy, Ai Hui, Joel, Li Hui, Ben and Zzen. wow. seems like a long time ago...)
Rudy was at our show while Louis was over at NEC's booth.
occasionally Louis would hang out over here with Rudy, they'd exchange some CDs and he would be irritatingly pissing me off by calling me "Ah lian".

WTH.

which part of me looks like Ah Lian huh huh huh huh!
and i totally forgotten Louis likes to purposely bump into me really hard/nudge me with his elbow on purpose and says "solli!" before scurrying away hurriedly so that i don't have time to retaliate.

Another reason to like PC Shows? you get to meet new people! ((:
although due to the hectic schedule and unhealthy competition, i didn't really make friends with everyone, but i did get to talk to some of them.
and got on pretty well with some of the Sony full-timers like Marc & Marvin & Nelson & Selvam..

i'm still suffering from the after-effects of the roadshow:
- aching muscles from head to toe
- very extremely tired legs

had a horrible headache this morning, as though i've had a hung over (i've never had hung over before. not even at Virus' chalet where i choked the sink with my vomit. i woke up naturally, feeling tired and a little groggy, just like normally when i have had insufficient rest.) so i skipped make-up FMA lesson today, much to many's dismay, because:
1. i was supposed to meet up with my SSM group for a short discussion to delegate the jobs after FMA lessons
2. i was supposed to meet up with Mel & Shay for Cold Rock after my SSM discussion

aye aye..
and all i've done is continue sleeping till almost 12 and then finish my third book from the Shopaholic Series: Shopaholic Ties the Knot

youku was playing with me today. refusing to load the 10th episode of season 1 of Ugly Betty, which i've been watching before the PC Show..
oh wells.
and i think the PC Show not only screwed my bio clock up, but also my body. I woke up craving for MacDonald's Chicken McNugget Meal!

the first time we did our war cry, was during the debrief on the third night. for a moment, my brain was still deciding: to shout, or not to shout? to shout, or not to shout? what if i'm the only one who shouted?
but then, on the count of three, there was really no time to decide and i just decided to go with it.

IT FELT GOOD.
real good; how our voices echoed, the look on everyone's faces, the bond forged at that split second.

throughout the 4days of the PCShow 2008, it felt, honestly, LIKE HELL.
reaching at 1045am everyday, only leaving the place at about 11pm...
no time to have breakfast, eat packed food 2meals a day(i NEVER finish the food everyday. so wasteful! and i only get to rest like, for 15-20min eating, and occasional toilet breaks.), the place was so packed and crowded! i was squeezed here, shoved there, pushed here, nudged there, squashed here, bumped there, running here, chasing there.
HELL TIRING.

on one occasion, some PERVY BASTARD glued his pubic to my arse and had a helluva time grinding me but all this time i was stuck SOMEWHERE, and i couldn't get to turn around to see who's the bastard behind me, and by the time i could turn around, i can't tell who's it anymore.
you want to grind people go to a club la! WTH.

every single night, i reach home, bushed, legs aching as though they did a marathon (not like i've done a marathon before, but they are more tired compared to me coming home from shopping sprees or 2.4km), lying on the bed, cannot move an inch. i even felt dizzy and nauseous on the first day because i wasn't accustomed to people milling about all around me all the time. (same as my previous Comex PC Show)
and the stress i've to undergo everyday!
the unhealthy competition amongst 30over part timers.
the tremendous stress both Virus and L.C put me through.
the tremendous stress I MYSELF put me in.
it's just plain horrid.

i couldn't bear with it anymore and i just had to bare whatever that's on top of my head to xiuyi on the third night (after i consulted her whether i should buy that LV monogram canvas montorgueil -- because Wei Xiong was in Paris's Champs Elysees LV flagship store *jealous!* and he was supposed to help me get monogram canvas Griet but it's a past season stock already! *horrors* and why he called at 1am, that's due to the time difference!) till 330am!
i felt tons better after pouring so much to Xiuyi, thanks BFF!

overslept by 30mins on the forth day *horrors!* but i still made it in time, HA!
and it was absolutely CRAZEEEEE.
what with the CR32 crazy sale at $1199 from time to time. it was pure MADNESS. and i had to hide within the counters instead of hanging outside the booths as per usual because the crowd volume was seriously absurd.
but nevertheless, forth day was absolutely the FUNNEST!
because of the gimmicks the Sony full-timers were displaying, it's amusing.
like Vincent, the big boss, Joseph the manager, Marvin the area manager, all standing ON TOP of the booth during the crazy CR32 sale, shouting "$1199!"
OMG.
Patrick, Virus, Selvam, Marc, Janice etc all went nuts too!
super chaotic yet hilarious scene.
and each and every time after the CR32 crazy sale ended, this would happen:

Emcee: "and.... SOLD!"

All: "Ohhh... ..."

Emcee: "1..2..3.."

All: "Vaio!"

"VAIO!!!" was the last thing we said at the show too. our last war cry together.
after debrief, we (Benjawan, Zzen, Ai Hui, Li Hui, Raphael, Ivan, Kah Weng, Yu Xuan, Yu Heng and I) waited for Virus while he had his full-timer meeting.
headed to Lor 3 Geylang for supper, and it was HEAVENLY! (quote Ivan: "you want to know a girl's true colours? order crab when your are out dining." but i think that should be what Ai Hui, Li Hui and I are saying because the way these 5 gluttons behaved when they saw the chilli crab was absolutely entertaining. quote Li Hui: "Order a crab when you need entertainment.")
thanks Virus for the treat! and he forfeited the Vaio full-timer celebration at some pub opposite the Convention Centre to treat us supper! well, but we deserved it, dont we? for we created 3 history for Sony Vaio!

1. First ever roadshow to sell so many number of laptops: 1,027 (considering the current inflation rate etc, we did a miracle. during the Product training, when they told us the target for this show was 1,000, we were like, HELL NO! it's impossible.)
2. First ever roadshow for level 4 people to beat level 3 people. (and we had fewer people! the norm is 40over part timers but we only had 30over!)
3. I FORGOT. haha. i can't remember because i was too tired while Virus was talking to just the few of us, and he kept digressing! but this IS definitely THE phenomena of the year. POW-WOW. miracles DO happen.
Vincent was smiling like a fat kid who was just told that he could have an entire big cake all to himself. For the first time, the wall i built up against him actually crumbled quite a bit.

everytime i tell myself, i am NEVER going to a roadshow EVER AGAIN.

but after 3months, it's like... why not? it'll be fun! and i go through the same torture, but get the same fun (or even more fun) at the end...

we had bloody SSM discussion on MSN till 2am+ in the morning ok! dammit.

and i went to bed at 230 after talkin to xiuyi for awhile..

was 35minutes late.
so sorry. because xiuyi has this super notorious, lousy and bad history with me, i seriously thought she overslept on me despite warning her a million times on MSN not to oversleep, when she didn't reply my smses in the morning..
so i happily took my own sweet time to blow dry my hair, and missed the blurble of my hp - her msg telling me she's on her way.
haha, so i was like 35minutes late. OOPS.

went to check out the Samsung Tocco, but SADLY! it's not launched yet. DAMN. then why did they feature it on their website then?!
nevertheless, the Samsung product specialist was very nice, he led us to the Giorgio Armani phone display and told us to try it because Tocco and Giorgio Armani are quite similar, and he gave us this list to put our names down so that when the stock arrives, he can inform us ((:
if he didn't look so sincere and helpful, i would have thought he was using it as an excuse to get our numbers (because i've always been there lookin at Samsung phones, but how come nobody provided this kinda good service?!)
and he was very patient and nice explainin certain functions to us.

my treat, cuz i owe xiuyi a treat - partially i was feeling bad for being late, and partially it's because last time, xiuyi and i did this Vivo show together before school reopened, and some random day, we were at Funan reminding Marcus to credit to xiuyi's account this customer's warranty card. (luckily we did, cuz he totally forgot about it k!) and Alan told us that on Monday (the day that school started), they sold 5 laptops and he credited all to my account, so i freaking earned $75 for being in school the whole day! so there.
xiuyi immediately karate chop me and DEMANDED, "YOU'D BETTER GIVE ME A TREAT."

it was a cosy little lunch...
us sitting in a cosy little corner, and that whole time, it just seemed like the world is only left with the two of us..
it felt so good.
it felt like i could sit there just all day long, chit-chatting with her.
which is something that i've been desperately hoping for, for a long time.
but our schedules just don't fit la.
so we just talk about random things - anything and everything all over the world, under the sun.
digressing from any topic that we touch on.
but just not touching what i know she wants to tell me/talk to me about, and what she knows i want to tell her/talk to her about..
it's just the way we work:
if we don't have all day / the time to talk about it, we'd rather not touch 'n go and leave the topic hanging there.
it's torturous. (for us, at least)
