finally, elearning is here.

OMG.
i have been craning my short short neck for this day for SO LONG.
on wednesday, i kept having the illusion that tomorrow's friday.
but no, of course! the day after wednesday is not friday duh. is thursday. boohoo ):
and finally the LONG LONG friday is over.
for the 3hours itab, i have been doing nothing but surfing the net and online shopping with sheri for the first hour.
and for the next 2hours, i've been like, watching Charmed season 4, disc1.
(BOOHOOHOO. prue died. and i couldn't help but tear, and den i was so freaking scared anyone would see and think that i'm nuts. hahaha.)

PACC lecture is helluva COLD.
so people, Friday = bring jacket day!
break. went to the Hnours United Bazaar with ling ling and ling's friend, tsui san.
den headed to Raffles Place for my GEMs field lecture.
we proceeded to the Asian Civilization Museum. OMG. in my years of performing at the Victoria Concert Hall (hmmm, lemme see.. since sec1 i've been going there for concerts, and since sec3 i've been performing there...) i have neglected the ACM all along. oblivious to it and have no idea of it's existence right beside the VCH!
OMG.

took lots of pictures. (because we're supposed to write a critical report on the aesthetics and cultural values of the one artefact that we have chosen from there as our homework.)
couldn't make it back on time for CD. so our group's presentation postponed to second instead of first.
hahaha.
I THINK I'M DAMN WITTY.
we were supposed to present on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). click here to check it out.
and i was talking about the benefits of CSR (continued) after Andrew. so the teacher asked a question at the end, about us mentioning that CSR creating shareholder values. and he asked how important is it to investors that a company adopts CSR policy in their corporate governance.
i was, (we all were) actually, quite ill-prepared. we prepared great slides, no argues.
but we didn't read through them thoroughly. we didn't prepare any speech or whatsoever.
and i wasn't even really sure about the entire topic. hahaha.
so i kinda weaved my way around, saying that as an investor, it would definitely be a bonus if the company i'm interested in is adopting the CSR thing. it would only be a bonus but not a criteria when choosing a company to invest in because it brings greater credibility and blah.
ok. this is not really the witty part.
the teacher then continued to ask that what about Microsoft. do they have CSR in them? and i'm like...
"uhhh..." *oh no, i'm stuck* "i don't think so?"
"so why do we still buy their products since they are not?"
*teacher smirks. he thought he defeated me.*
"but they are a monopoly!!!" i exclaimed WITTILY, and kinda defensively.
*teacher looks impressed and smiles*
"ooh! smart thinking. that i never thought of..*

HAHAHA. omg. i thought i wasn't gonna make it! seriously.
heartbeat so fast.

i can see ling ling and sheri rolling their eyes until they are seriously on the verge of falling out! hahaha. STOP ROLLING! I AM DAMN WITTY OK! =P stop denying it. stop living in self-denial. come repeat after me, "Carmen is damn W-I-T-T-Y." yay.

but not as fast as watching Charmed during ITAB.
my heart and lungs HURT LIKE SHIAT.
and when i finished the first episode, i felt as though i haven't been breathing for an hour.

French was Bravo! Tres Bien!!
i skipped last week! but i caught up rather quickly =P
and towards the end it was so super funny because we were all supposed to create a dialogue in pairs for booking of hotel rooms.
and the teacher is getting more and more picky with our pronounciation.
it's shocking how so many people still cannot pronounce "bonjour" and "monsieur" when they were like the FIRST french words taught! *HORRORS*
and den this guy is so so so so so super funny.
because he pronounced so many things wrongly they all sounded so funny! (ok. i'm evil. but whole class laughed what. even teacher also laughed. so i'm not evil. my class are!)

but honestly, i admire his courage. although he kept laughing along with us, it's not easy speaking (and knowing you're bound to get something wrong somewhere) in front of a whole class of random people you don't know well. except their faces and that they're in your french class.
yeah. because it's so scary. there were only 3 girls today. me, cass and this other girl whom we don't know. when the teacher did recital practices with boys vs girls, it is so clear who's speaking what. grrr. hate it.

oh anyway. how to pronounce my name in French?
it sounds something la "Kak-Mon" whenever ending with "on" it must sound like neverending "ohng'. something like that. haha.
alors. that's all for now.
Au revoir! ("awk-vuak") Bonne nuit! ("ben nwee")
