far see;flower red red. near see;flower got worm
my mummy beloved went for her mahjong session. poor me was so bored i wanted to go Bras Bersah complex to shop (arts craft stuffs) alone for i havent been shopping alone for a very long time.
it's good to shop along sometimes.
gives you the peace. the tranquility. the chance to make decisions on you own instead of being swayed by comments of others.
haha. but my idiotic monk was so lovesick he couldnt eat, so i decided to dropby his house at Eunos to pay him a surprise visit. (:
teehee. lovelorn monk. (what an oxymoron.)
so after the (finally) successful (cuz i was so discreet this time) surprise visit, i loitered around at his home and he taught me how to use photoshop! (okay. this sounds weird. a guy teaching a girl how to use photoshop. maybe we switched roles?! haha. but his sister is a design student at NAFA, so duh!) we had lunch blah blah and den we proceeded to bugis (he wanted to tag along).
oops. i think i make him sound a little too "xiao nan ren", but wells, alright! i needed a companion too! >.< TADA! Soo Kee Jewellery's pretty pretty X'mas Tree!
went for a quick round at Bugis Village and we went back to Bugis Junction...den o_O !!!
saw this place along the open space outside Bugis Junction, they were doing nailarts at $15!
how could i give it a miss! >.< (my newly painted red nails were chipping off already anyway)
me drying my base-coat in the dryer...
this is the colour-coat.
after the colour-coat dried. they would glaze the fingers with something that will glow under the UV-light. it's for the machine to detect your nails so they can print on it. there! see my nails glowing under the UV-rays?
my arm was sent into the machine! i was told strictly not to move (or even twitch, in my own opinion, else the print would be off), and den the machine would somehow paint your nails. i really dont know how cuz i dont feel a thing but the machine jerking like a printer. but they told me it's something like spray painting.
see? my nails detected by the machine and is translated onto computer... so we could tell which nail wasnt proper adjusted.
the preview of my nails with the prints i chose! (:
tada! my new manicure. okay. it really looks pretty and all from far but when you look at it closely, there are flaws everywhere:
the prints werent properly aligned;
some of the prints are smudged and really badly printed; (they re-did my left thumb and left little finger)
my left thumb was so ruined i am doin a new painting for it now;
they kp askin you not to move not to move, but i really didnt! maybe i cant control any muscle spasms but i swear i didnt move! yet the prints still came out a bit weird..
so the outcome is like "far see; flower red red. near see; flower got worm" hahaha.
a saying monkey chlo taught me! (in chinese though.. “远看花红红,近看花有虫”)
but overall, it was a rather fun experience.
the offer lasts till 31st december though!
yup. it's not a bad idea for those who have long and broad nails.. easier for the machine to detect and paint on it. i saw some others who have pretty nice ones done.
i think mine was a little too short and my poor little finger was too narrow to be exactly detected/painted. :(
and it's for those who have all the time in the world to idle! not recommendable for those who are in a rush. cuz although they told me it'll take 30mins, but the entire process took actually 1.5 hours. >.<
P.S. screw small feet discrimination! there was this really really nice pair of heels that i really liked but they only provided till size 36! THIRTY-SIX! how could they! how can they not provide 35! like hello?! Asian women's feet aren't as huge as those ang moh's know! you should provide like at least ONE or TWO PAIRS of smaller sizes! (that's what they normally do, dont they?) my mum and i are going nuttos recently as the shops are not selling enough footwear of our sizes!!! -hollers- and that sales girl! how dare she try force me to buy 36! it's loose larh! and she still claimed that i could stuff sponges or foams inside. fyi, if i do that, i might as well go around buying shoes that dont fit me?! might as well the entire world just produce ONE BIG SIZE so for those who have smaller feets they can just stuff foam in it?! and for those with bigger feets should maybe just go bind their feet until they are 3 inch big. hoho. can buy "san cun jin lian" already.so.fed.up.
