things always turn out in the way you least expect it to
surprise surprise!
just as i was desperate looking for a job, and worried that it would turn out like the previous one, contemplating which interview to go, (because i would only want to go to those that are promising and are good jobs for me but not any how find some weird job and get myself into a sticky situation) Jonah called me last night. after a tiresome day of desperate job hunting.
ok claire, (and maybe nat) pop your eyes back into ur sockets NOW. and maybe it would be nice if you'd push your jaws back into the original state. yes it's THAT Jonah. no doubts. ya. your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. haha.
who would have guessed! Jonah-whatever. (see, i dont even know his surname!) and the fiasco he and siying landed themselves into back in old dunman days... phew.
he actually called me because he heard from Yifei i was lookin for a job. (and again! how exactly did *yifei know i was looking for a job, i dont understand. it's as though... sam goh heard from pang kiat i was looking for a job and he called me. -.- )
and so, we chatted on the phone last night and i decided to go for the interview.
nothing to lose right?
no, but do u know how freaky it is to be called by an ex-schoolmate whom you barely know,besides his name and his face, (and probably his gossips) and then he asks you to go to Mandarin Gardens, his boss's home for an interview?!
my... you cant imagine how scared i was. i mean, i've been through like what, a dozen interviews before, it's not the interviews that scares me, you get what i mean right?

i got the job.haha.
i'm starting on Monday. it's sounds SO EXCITING. and Amit, the boss, already delegated jobs for me to do.

and who the hell would have expected, me and jonah, colleagues?!
and he actually called me this evening to apologize for the abruptness and he hoped he didn't like, scare me or anything cuz he himself also kind of freaked out when Amit asked him to work at his home office. haha. and thanked me for my flexibility, and we actually chit chatted for like, 46mins! gosh.
it's like, so weird! the idea of me chit chatting on the phone with Jonah would NEVER have occurred to me a few years back. hahaha.
anyway, gotta go.
i've got like, the entire "Best of Singapore" to read up, (which is 238 pages thick, and slightly bigger than A4, but thankfully it's mostly beautiful, breathtaking and high resolution peeektures, and some paragraphs of words) and some other stuffs, and then i've got all the Sony Vaio specifications and unique selling points to try and remember for tomorrow's Comex 2007 IT roadshow.
BAHHH.
anyway, for those hanging in there, please please please HOLD ON!
good luck with Prelims and the actual A's, and dont forget to take a break and relax once in a teeny while, because i don't want all my friends to turn deranged.

*yifei is a dunmanian who was from SE, and then i got to know him through NYCO because he went to play er hu there. so the only connection between us was DHS and NY.
