i am this close to switching to lj/wordpress.
blogger is not letting me upload pictures.
i tried firefox on my desktop, i tried ie on desktop, i tried vaio, it just wont work.
i thought it's MY connection problem but i could upload pictures elsewhere, perfectly fine.

yes. going to TGIF girls' night out with melly.
and then going to spend my early saturday morning at dhs with doris to visit the juniors before their concert on 4th March..
will be watching He's Just Not That Into You with Doris thereafter and go buy our cotton on stuffs! (:
Sunday, I hope I'll be going Malaysia with my parents for some shopping.
If not, then I guess I'll just take a good long rest at home before starting work (attachment) on Monday.

EEKS. twentieth just sounds horrible.
it's like, i can no longer be called a "teen" and yet i'm not an "adult" yet.

xiuyi, claire and clarissa were in cahoots with hesheng to surprise me with the carousel birthday cake hesheng bought for me.
the process was super not-surprise-ish because the three revealed something here and there and made me suspicious.
but i really didn't expect the carousel cake. HAHA.

and because i'm too observant i'm pretty good at planning surprises.
i know what not to do to prevent the "victim" from becoming suspicious.
i think the best surprises i've planned so far was the most recent xiuyi's 20th birthday surprise...
and claire's.. 18th i think. haha where i lied to her i broke up with hesheng and i really needed to talk to her i'm at her place and she came rushing home. but because yingxiu weren't ready yet i had to fake tears cry sob wail.
it was super impromptu but SUPER GOOD.
claire was so taken aback her jaw dropped to the floor and her eyes seriously popped out of her sockets, i swear.

claire's 19th was not bad too no loopholes at all until claire came home and saw the balloons on her roof -.- and we completely failed to light the tealights, thanks uh, Wind.
xiuyi's 19th... she was a little suspicious because her mum kept askin her to come home. (HAHAH CUZ I WAS WAITING AT HER PLACE WITH HER MUM!)
mel's was super impromptu too. but not bad i guess? she wasn't really suspicious when i told her i need to meet my brother, but instead i went to buy her bday cake and all.. shunya's made her wanted to cry haha.

wah ok. i am quite surprised i was involved in so many birthday surprises.

this week has been...

Sunday was procrastination and procrastination.

Monday was HRM 30min tutorial followed by great news from LO (MY ITP DRESS CODE IS CASUAL!!! SHIOK TO THE MAX!) then killer FEB paper and super sinful but nice family dinner.

Tuesday was Dip. Plus counselling skills test.

Wednesday was madness shopping with banal m. (haha i told you i'd give u a new name and call u this! banal m was previously baby m but because she's SOOOOO anal, i have to change her name to banal, which stands for anal baby.)

Thursday was shopping with mummy (crazy mum bought a Gucci bag for the sake of buying it. just because you struck 4D doesnt mean u have to buy a bag to pamper urself. i'd rather you waited for one that you seriously honestly liked it before purchasing it -.- annoying.) last minute Vday shopping alone thereafter and baked from 5pm-630pm. hurr. and then report writing then Vday presents preparation after this till like, 3am?

Friday the Thirteenth

which explains why i'm here at my brother's place right now.

woke up at like 745, wrote banal m a letter till 825, bathed, got ready for school. surprisingly was ready by 905am.

DEN, i remembered i haven't printed my dip plus group & individual report.

SIGH. so i booted my comp to print...

DEN, i remembered i need to burn some stuff into disc when i already shut down my comp...

DEN, the disc couldn't be burnt so i thought of going to school to burn...

DEN, when i reached the MRT i realized i didn't bring the thumbdrive so i have no information to burn...

by this time it's already 10am. lecture was supposed to start at 10am and i'm still stuck at Serangoon MRT, dunno where to go what to do momentararily lost...

so i decided to come to my brother's place to hopefully retrieve the info from my email and burn it... and also hope that my nephew would bring about a change in my sucky day...

and it so happens that my nephew attitude me and totally doesn't want me today.

(ok i'm exaggerating a little he only didn't want me for awhile haha but still...)

i hope after i go to school later and finish distributing the presents i'd feel better.

and i hope i'd have a good time at mel's place later.

what have i been up to?

since Twilight, i've been busy with setting up lovedaime.livejournal.com to sell pre-loved items owned by me & the 08 girls.
For three days!
you can't imagine the work behind it until you do it.
it's scary. photoshopping till shunya & i nearly died.
last saturday was spent swimming with kynan and my parents and looking for jobs desperately and falling asleep from exhaustion. steamboat dinner at my rich cousin's place. (:
wah super good man loved the soup.

sunday was dinner with nigus!
it is indeed, a day to commemorate because i think, it's the FIRST TIME since graduation from DHS, that all 6 of us are gathered together.
MIRACLE.
every time it is either 4 or 5 and never 6!
this is seriously a MIRACLE.

tuesday i had project meeting at city hall.
(threadless) online shopping with clinton & alex.
physical shopping at raffles city with alex & kellin.
went shunya's place to collect threadless tees.
chit-chat at void-deck for like 1hr (cuz her sis's on sick leave).

wednesday was desperate housewives day.

thursday! highlight of the week (:
supposed to have con b meeting at 1230pm but i gave it a miss because it is BFF day!
(and it is very impt to dedicate this day to BFF because she is damn busy and no other days free and we haven met up in months, yup, so there.)
but BFF received notice saying she got accepted to UNSW(med) the night before, so she had to meet her mum at 2pm to book air tickets.

CONGRATULATIONS BFF!

and it was alright because i have an interview scheduled at 1030am so i could waste some time away shopping while waiting for her.
which reminded me of darryl's sms asking me if i'm free to accompany clinton for shopping because he had to ps clinton due to some reasons and clinton's quite pissed off about it.
so lucky darryl!
i met up with clinton after my interview and his con b meeting. (note: we are NOT in the same con b grp.)
i was supposed to meet him at starbucks.
i thought his grp has left but boy, i was wrong.
and he had to be all secretive about meeting me, telling them he's meeting his friend instead of, "oh i'm meeting carmen later".
so we're like DOOMED can u see.

those who dont know the story would be:
carmen missed con b meeting to go meet clinton.
clinton was all secretive about meeting carmen but we saw them together.

and i wanted this threadless tee but clinton has already ordered it. (i ordered for him)
if i order too then it'll become like couple tee? (i ordered 2 other tees that i like more than this one first because of budget constraints)

SIGH whatever.

melly baby finds this story hilarious. (i am quite awed that she could understand it thru msn despite the complexity of it.)
BFF thinks its funny too but if i order the tee too then it'll be hello mrs. ong.
HAHAHA. ok quite funny ah.

anyway so i had a marathon gift buying session with clinton.
raffles city. marina square. suntec.
my legs were screaming after all the shopping.
and i had to meet BFF at PS i seriously considered taking a cab from suntec because i didn't want to walk all the way back to city hall.

and sigh for the poor mr. saliva and dave.

lost my wallet in the cathay movie toilet cubicle we went before the movie (i.e. 5pm)
and only to realize i lost it around 830pm when i have no money to pay for dinner.
haha LUCKILY THANKFULLY GRATEFULLY GOD-BLESSEDLY,
it was found and i collected it from the Cathay manager. (:
thanks BFF!!! for waiting in the smelly shit-odour toilet for people to come out of their cubicles so you can check for me if my wallet's in there.

friday is busy busy day!
shopping with mummy in the day, xmas card writing in the late afternoon, xmas party with my dad at night.
my dad's manager, Mary, makes the BEST FOOD EVER!
even better than those served in restaurants.
roasted turkey
ham
sausages wrapped with bacon
roasted pork (done from scratch!)
christmas breads
christmas cakes
tomato based spaghetti with vongolé
fried olive rice
chicken pie
oven-baked sweet potato fries
BEST APPLE CRUMBLE TART IN THE WORLD with home-made vanila ice cream (i had 3 servings of this)
peeled pomelo with diced strawberry, kiwi & mango with vanilla ice cream served in a nice glass

OMG I SO WANT HER APPLE CRUMBLE RECIPE.

sadly i have to start on frustrating projects today:

i'm blessed with the most wonderful friends one could ever have (:
BFF, nigus, 08 girls, melissa, clinton.
each and everyone has done something to touch my heart beyond their knowledge this holiday.

we made plans to go on a date on tuesday! (9th dec)
my first time wearing swishy flowy skirt out & french braid!
mel wore her swishy flowy skirt as a tube dress.

her perm isn't as curly as i expected it to look haha. but it's nice nevertheless. suits her.

And we had a helluva time talent-scouting on the streets for people to take pictures of us with my Fujifilm Instax. haha.

(ang mohs are like super friendly! and the pro photog surprisingly was very approachable and thanked us for giving him a chance to try this other branch of camera he has never tried before)

I was rather surprised that melly baby wanted to watch a movie at Lido given our last encounter there. (Burn After Reading. lousy movie lousy uncomfortable seats. blardy cold cinema.)

I thought she'd choose Cine (or probably not because it's infested with BIRDS) or Grand Cathay. But I presumed she chose it because it's the nearest.
When we crossed over to Lido, I was staring at the screen showing the movie timeslots. The movies' timings were all 9pm or 9pm+.

"See? I told you movies are always 7+ or 9+ lor. There's no movie that's 8+ one luh!"

-busy texting, ignores me.-

Continues staring at the flickering screen.

"How come the screen's not changing? There's only like Bolt, Bolt 3D, Sex Drive & Quarantine?!"

-she continues texting and ignores me.-

"How? How come so few movies only? Eee, I dont want to watch these. How?"

"Actually, we're watching Twilight today."

I scoffed. "Yeah right."

"Really! We're watching Twilight today."

"Yeah right. I don't believe you."

"REALLY!"

"It's not even showing. It's only launching on the 18th what."

"I'm SERIOUS. We're really watching Twilight."

"I don't believe you!"

"Really! Why don't you believe me?"

(half of me wanted to believe her, but half of me thought i would look super stupid if i believed her and then her story turns out to be bluffing bullocks. it would give her license to mock me for like, probably the rest of my life. and since she's always so full of nonsense i thought it'd be more logical to NOT believe her. also because she didn't look exasperated or anything but all smiley like she's enjoying every minute of it.)

"Ok, if you want me to believe you then show me the tickets."

"If I really have the tickets then what would you do?"

-ponders for a moment-

"I.. I.. If you really have the tickets then I'll give you a kiss!"

And she magically produces a slightly crushed black envelope with "Twilight" printed on its bottom right hand corner (i think) in its signature font. And takes out the invitation with two tickets in it and shoved it at me.

-dumbfounded-

"Ah, ah, so...? Where's my kiss?"

"How'd you get it?"

"My aunt gave it to me. It's the premiere tonight.. 830pm. haha! So, where's my kiss!"

"No wonder you kept on insisting that there is SURE going to be a movie that's 8+... You want on the lips or on the cheeks? HAHAHA."

"WAH. On the lips somemore!"

"Ok la, cheeks la."

*SMOOCH!*

and we happily went up the escalator to the Lido Shaw cineplex.
